Talks are ongoing, but there is still no resolution. Following widespread student protests across Delhi and the entire country, the Central Government held the 3rd round of meeting with the Cockroach Janta Party today. However, the talks were adjourned again as no complete resolution was reached.
The meeting was held at the Constitution Club in Parliament House. The Cockroach Janta Party delegation held discussions with Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh. During the meeting, the organization reiterated its three main demands.
Before the meeting, Cockroach Janta Party spokesperson Ashutosh Rank made it clear, “Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is not a matter for discussion for us. If the government does not agree to this, then there is no point in holding further talks.”
The organization repeated its demands for: Resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Withdrawal of all cases filed against protesting students.
Rs 1 crore compensation each to families of students who allegedly died by suicide due to the NEET paper leak case .
After the meeting, Union Minister J.P. Nanda said that the government is considering the organization’s three main demands as well as five suggestions submitted regarding reforms in the examination system. He added that the government’s final position will be communicated only after internal discussions.
Meanwhile, Cockroach Janta Party’s chief spokesperson Saurabh Das said, The discussion was detailed. But the government has asked for some more time regarding the demand for the Education Minister’s resignation. If the resignation does not happen, this movement will take an even bigger form.”
On the other hand, according to reports in a section of the media, the Central Government has not taken any decision to remove Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at this stage. Those reports stated that the government continues to support the Education Minister.
