Nestlé India has stepped up its flood-relief efforts across Assam, Nagaland and Odisha, distributing essential grocery and hygiene supplies in coordination with district administrations and local authorities.
In Assam, the company worked with the District Commissioners of Jorhat and Sivasagar to provide 4,000 grocery kits, with 2,000 kits allocated to affected communities in each district. The Assam Disaster Relief Team and local authorities supported the timely distribution of the supplies.
In Nagaland’s Mon district, Nestlé India provided 1,000 grocery kits following coordination with the District Commissioner. The District Administration and local civil bodies assisted with distribution.
The company also extended relief assistance in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, covering Chandbali Tehsil and Tihidi Block. The intervention included 3,000 grocery kits and 1,000 hygiene kits.
In Jorhat, the relief intervention comes as flood-affected households face disruptions to normal access to essential goods. The distribution of 2,000 grocery kits provides immediate support to vulnerable communities while potentially easing short-term pressure on household procurement during flood-related logistical challenges. Coordination between authorities and relief providers remains important for maintaining access to essential supplies across affected areas.
