Kenvue has introduced an economic growth-focused strategy in India’s hydration segment by launching a dual-brand framework ORSL for diarrheal dehydration and eRZL for everyday hydration aimed at strengthening its share in the rapidly expanding electrolyte beverages market. The “Double Power for Complete Hydration” initiative aligns with rising consumer awareness about dehydration, driven by higher temperatures, lifestyle changes, and increasing demand for preventive health solutions.
ORSL will continue as the company’s World Health Organization formula-based oral rehydration salts portfolio, available in ready-to-drink and powder formats. Meanwhile, effective January 2026, the electrolyte drink portfolio has been rebranded as eRZL, featuring an improved formulation offering faster hydration with 1.4 times more electrolytes and eight times less sugar compared to the previous composition. The drink includes sodium, potassium, chloride, vitamin C, and real fruit juice, targeting consumers seeking low-sugar, functional hydration products.
Company leadership noted that India’s electrolyte drink category is growing at a rapid pace, supported by increasing wellness-focused consumption trends. Executives emphasized that the differentiated positioning of ORSL and eRZL is expected to unlock new demand segments across both healthcare-driven and lifestyle hydration markets.
