A day-long free health and eye check-up camp was held today at the Padumbari Community Hall near Jalukbari, organized by the prominent social service organization “Pathik” in collaboration with ‘Barbaruah Clinic’ and ‘Centre for Sight’. During the camp, advanced high-tech diagnostic machines were used to assess the physical condition of patients. Over a hundred people, including women and children, received medical consultations and free medicines. Local residents expressed their gratitude to Pathik, noting that the camp allowed many people, especially senior citizens, to access healthcare services near their homes without having to travel to a hospital.
A team of 12 medical professionals, including doctors and technical assistants, led by senior physician Dr. Parashjyoti Bora and supervised by Ridip Deka, Mitali Hazarika, Iftikar Hussain, Prakash Baruah, Monalisa Mahanta, Rajlakshmi Rajshree, and Nandandhar Baruah, provided treatment and check-ups. The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Pathik Director Victor Rajkumar and was moderated by Abani Kumar Das, President of the Padumbari Village Development Committee. The event was attended by Secretary Girish Chandra Das, Srimanta Kumar Das, and several other prominent local figures and socially conscious individuals.
