Brazilian football star Oscar has announced his decision to retire from professional football. The midfielder, who previously played for the Brazilian national team and English Premier League club Chelsea, has finally made this decision regarding his career.
It is noteworthy that during his time with Chelsea, he won the Premier League title twice. Similarly, he later joined the Chinese Super League. During his time in the Chinese Super League, he managed to win the title three times for his club, Shanghai Port.
After his stint in China, he returned to Brazilian football. In 2024, he signed a three-year contract with Sao Paulo, the club where he began his career as a youth player. His contract was set to run until 2027. While playing for the Brazilian national team, he participated in the 2014 World Cup. However, due to recent physical illnesses and recurring injuries, he has been admitted to the hospital several times. Following these health struggles, he has now made the decision to retire.
