ASUS Announces India Re-Entry with Premium 12.2-Inch OLED Tablet Slated for August 6 Debut

ASUS has officially announced its highly anticipated return to the Indian tablet market with the unveiling of the ASUS Pad (T3201). Scheduled to launch on August 6 at 12:00 PM IST, the premium device marks the company’s first major Android tablet release in the country in nearly a decade. Positioned as a direct competitor to high-end media and productivity devices, the tablet’s marquee feature is its gorgeous 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer tandem OLED display. This advanced panel boasts a fluid 144Hz refresh rate, a productivity-focused 3:2 aspect ratio, and an impressive peak brightness of 2,000 nits, making it an ideal canvas for vibrant outdoor viewing, creative design workflows, and immersive entertainment.

Under the hood, the ASUS Pad is powered by the capable 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage. Despite housing a massive 9,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging—capable of recharging the battery from zero to 50% in just 30 minutes—the tablet maintains an incredibly sleek 6.5mm profile and weighs just 523 grams. Running Android 16 right out of the box, the device comes packed with premium features like quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, an included smart protective folio case, and full compatibility with the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus. Pricing details for the tablet, which starts around ₹62,990, will be finalized ahead of its official release exclusively through Flipkart, the ASUS eShop, and authorized retail outlets nationwide.
