St. Francis De Sales School, Guwahati, has been awarded the prestigious title of “Overall Best School (NER)” at the NCC Northeastern Region Annual Awards 2025’26, recognising the institution as the Best NCC Institution in the entire Northeastern region. The award ceremony was held at NCC Group Headquarters, Shillong recently. Adding to the school’s achievement, S/Q Dilip Subedi of 1 Assam Battalion NCC received the award for “Best Male Associate NCC Officer (Assam)” for his exemplary leadership, dedication, and contribution towards NCC training and cadet development. The awards were conferred by the NCC Directorate, Northeastern Region, after a rigorous evaluation process involving schools, colleges, NCC units, and officers from across the eight Northeastern states.
Over the years, the school has consistently encouraged students to actively participate in NCC programmes, fostering values of service, unity and responsibility among cadets. Speaking on the achievement, the Principal of St. Francis De Sales School said, “This honour is a proud moment for the entire SFS family. It reflects the hard work, dedication, discipline, and commitment of our NCC cadets, Associate NCC Officers, teachers, and staff members.
