Under the patronage of the Bamuni Tarun Sangha and Library, and in association with the local public, an All-Assam level marathon competition was held to mark the centenary of the Satra (monastery). Sanjib Dole of Majuli earned the title of the best runner in the competition (finishing in 1.38 minutes).
In the competition, which started from the Aminigaon Chakigaon, Surya Das of Morigaon district secured second place (1.39 minutes), while Barat Ali of Sonapur secured third place. The winning competitors were presented with trophies, medals, and certificates of appreciation. Additionally, every participant who completed the run was honored with a special felicitation.
