Nine infiltrators from Bangladesh apprehended in Assam’s Dhubri district

Nine Bangladeshi nationals, who entered India illegally, were nabbed in Assam’s Dhubri district and handed over to the Border Security Force (BSF), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
“Last stop: Dhubri. Next step: expulsion.Nine illegal infiltrators have been handed over to @BSF_India for expulsion through the India-Bangladesh border. The message is simple: cross illegally, face the law. Firm borders. Zero compromise. Yeh Naya Assam hai,” Sarma said in a post on X.
It may be recalled that in August this year too, the Assam Police had prevented 17 alleged Bangladeshi infiltrators from entering the state.
The BSF and Assam Police are maintaining a high alert along the India-Bangladesh border to ensure that no person enters the state illegally, and that any person without any valid documents is pushed back.
