Nestlé India has expanded its flood relief operations across Assam, Nagaland and Odisha, providing a total of 9,000 relief kits to affected communities in coordination with district administrations and local authorities.
In Assam, the company worked with the District Commissioners of Jorhat and Sivasagar to distribute 4,000 grocery kits, with 2,000 kits allocated to affected communities in each district. The Assam Disaster Relief Team and local authorities supported the timely distribution.
In Mon district of Nagaland, Nestlé India provided 1,000 grocery kits following coordination with the District Commissioner, with the District Administration and local civil bodies facilitating distribution.
In Odisha’s Bhadrak district, relief operations covered Chandbali Tehsil and Tihidi Block, where the company supplied 3,000 grocery kits and 1,000 hygiene kits to flood-affected communities.
In Guwahati, the Assam intervention is significant as flood-related disruptions can affect household access to essential commodities and local supply networks. The distribution of grocery kits in Jorhat and Sivasagar provides immediate support to affected families while highlighting the role of coordinated corporate-community assistance during periods of market and logistical disruption.
Kunwar Himmat Singh, Head, Corporate Affairs, Sustainability and CSR, Nestlé India, said the company’s teams came together to support communities during times of need, adding that Nestlé would continue to extend assistance wherever support is required.
