Assam Social Justice and Empowerment (SJ&E) and Welfare of Minorities and Development (WMD) Minister Ashwini Ray Sarkar on Tuesday held separate review meetings with senior officials to assess the progress of departmental schemes, projects and activities. During the SJ&E meeting, the minister reviewed ongoing initiatives and directed officials to identify incomplete works and accelerate their completion without unnecessary delays. At the WMD meeting, he assessed the status of various schemes and projects and stressed that unfinished works should be completed within the stipulated timeframe, particularly those directly linked to public welfare. Sarkar also called for greater efficiency, coordination and accountability among officials to ensure that government schemes are implemented effectively and their benefits reach eligible beneficiaries in a timely manner. The review meetings focused on strengthening implementation and addressing delays in welfare-related projects across the state.
