Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour across its Lepetkata, Lakwa and Duliajan units in Assam. At the central celebration in Lepetkata, BCPL Managing Director Pranjal Changmai hoisted the National Flag and inspected contingents of CISF and DGR personnel along with NCC cadets. In his address, Changmai emphasised safety, plant performance and organisational growth while appreciating employees for their contributions to nation-building. Employees were recognised for Best Suggestions and outstanding HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) performance, while children of BCPL employees were felicitated for academic excellence. Employees who made significant contributions during the recent floods in Assam were also honoured for their service. The celebrations featured cultural performances by employees and their families, along with cricket, football and other sporting events for children and participants. The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony followed by the singing of the National Anthem, bringing the celebrations to a proud and patriotic close.
