Bongaigaon Gears Up for Devadamodar Sangha Golden Jubilee Celebrations

Preparations for the golden jubilee celebrations of the Sadou Asom Devadamodar Sangha gained momentum on Monday with the formation of a reception committee during a general meeting held at the Barowari Puja Mandap in Bongaigaon. The meeting was organised to plan the first session of the organisation’s 50th anniversary celebrations, which will be hosted by the Bongaigaon district committee in collaboration with the Dhubri and Kokrajhar district committees.

The meeting was presided over by Bongaigaon District Devadamodar Sangha President Dimbeswar Singha, while General Secretary Ratneswar Dev Sarma outlined the objectives of the gathering and the roadmap for the upcoming celebrations.

During the meeting, a reception committee was unanimously constituted to oversee the planning and execution of the golden jubilee programme. Ajit Das was elected as President, Bhupen Chakraborty as Working President, Ashok Narayan Dev and Meena Devi as Vice-Presidents, and Bidyut Jyoti Sharma as General Secretary. Janardan Chakraborty and Ram Prasad Ray were appointed Joint Secretaries, while several other office-bearers were entrusted with responsibilities for administration, cultural activities and finance.

The organisers expressed confidence that the golden jubilee celebrations would strengthen unity among members and showcase the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Sadou Asom Devadamodar Sangha across Assam.
