Amazon has dramatically expanded its ultra-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, to over 120 cities across India, successfully doubling its operational footprint within a span of just two weeks as the e-commerce titan aggressively scales its logistics network ahead of the lucrative festive season. The rapid rollout brings lightning-fast fulfillment to diverse locations spanning the country’s hinterlands—from Amritsar, Abohar, Jalandhar, and Ambala in the north to Mangalore, Manipal, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Changanassery, Bhubaneswar, and Karwar in the south. Through a robust network of nearly 800 micro-fulfillment and urban fulfillment centers, Amazon Now delivers tens of thousands of essential products within minutes, including groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, personal care items, fashion and beauty products, small appliances, and home and kitchen goods. Harsh Goyal, Vice President of Everyday Essentials at Amazon India, noted that Amazon Now stands as the fastest-growing e-commerce business unit in the company’s history, with order volumes doubling every single quarter. This milestone follows the platform’s recent achievement in September, where it crossed USD 1 billion in annualized gross sales based on the preceding three-month performance, prompting ambitious plans to extend the service to more than 300 cities and construct what the company terms India’s largest delivery-in-minutes network. To further complement this infrastructure, Amazon’s broader fulfillment network already powers same-day delivery for over one million products, next-day delivery for more than four million items, and extensive Prime shipping. Furthermore, Amazon Now will feature prominent deals during the upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival starting October 8, offering customers significant discounts across smartphones, electronics, fashion, and home essentials, alongside a 10 percent instant discount for SBI credit and debit card users and up to an additional 10 percent in savings exclusively for Prime members. Customers can seamlessly check service availability by looking for the dedicated Now banner directly inside the Amazon shopping application, signaling a transformative shift in India’s quick-commerce and e-commerce landscape.
