The Gatrani Pine Jorhat Asian Junior Under-16 Ranking Tennis Tournament, organized by the Jorhat Tennis Club under the auspices of the Asian Tennis Federation, continued today without any upsets on the second day. Seeded players advanced in their respective categories to secure spots in the next rounds. Pre-quarterfinal and quarterfinal matches were held today for both categories.
Boys’ Singles (Under-16) Ayan Chaliha defeated D. Venkatesh Kumar 7-6(2), 6-2.

Ishan Jaggi defeated Ayush Patnaik 7-5, 6-4.

Girls’ Singles (Under-16) Nisha Bajaj defeated Anya Biswas 6-1, 6-0. Shaurya Patil defeated Anika Pandey 6-2, 6-4.
Vaidehi Sinde defeated Nabonita Das 6-0, 6-0. Sanchana Das defeated Kristi Haloi 6-4, 6-0 to reach the semifinals.
