Roi Roi Binale, the last film featuring Assam’s beloved singer-actor Zubeen Garg, continues its remarkable box-office run, setting new benchmarks in Assamese cinema. The film has collected ₹33,30,82,825 within four weeks and three days of release, emerging as one of the biggest commercial successes in the state’s film industry.

Despite entering its fifth week, the emotional drama remains a major crowd-puller. The film is currently being screened in 70 theatres across Assam with 282 shows daily, drawing thousands of Zubeen fans who are treating the movie as a tribute to the late icon. The makers have also extended a “Laal Chalam” — a symbolic gesture of gratitude — to fans in India and abroad.

Producers said the film’s strong performance reflects Zubeen Garg’s enduring legacy and his lifelong efforts to uplift Assamese and regional cinema. They added that the movie is now running not just across Assam but also in select theatres overseas.

Released on October 31, Roi Roi Binale witnessed packed houses from the very first day. In Guwahati’s Beltola-based Matrix theatre, the opening show began early in the morning due to overwhelming demand. Similar scenes were reported from RR Cinema in Dhemaji, where morning shows were added to accommodate viewers.

Thousands of fans have been turning up for shows, many viewing the film multiple times as an emotional farewell to the superstar. With record-breaking footfall and sustained interest, the film has transcended its cinematic identity to become a mass homage to Zubeen Garg.
