According to the forecast of the Alipur Meteorological Department, the temperature may increase on one hand this week. There is also a forecast of rain. Light rain is likely in South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, and West Midnapore districts on Friday. But apart from these districts, the weather in other districts of the state will remain dry. Light-to-moderate rain may occur in various districts of South Bengal.
Rainfall is likely in East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Purulia, Jhargram, Bankura, Birbhum, East Burdwan, and West Burdwan. The rest of the districts of the state may also get drenched with light rain accompanied by thundershowers, said the Meteorological Office. However, dry weather will prevail in North Bengal districts. However, despite the rains, the weather department predicts that the heat will increase in South Bengal, including Kolkata, this week.
