Unity on Wheels: Arunachal Cycling Association Marks World Cycling Day with Akashdeep-Yupia Rally

The Arunachal Cycling Association (ACA), in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre and the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, observed World Cycling Day with a cycling rally from Akashdeep to Yupia Stadium.

The rally was attended by Sports Minister Kento Jini, MLA Mutchu Mithi, Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, Chau Zingnu Namchoom, and other senior officials, sports enthusiasts, and cyclists from across the state.

Winners of various events conducted under the ACA’s annual calendar also participated in the rally, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for cycling in Arunachal Pradesh.

The event aimed to promote cycling as a healthy, environmentally friendly and sustainable mode of transportation while encouraging fitness and an active lifestyle.

Participants rode together in a show of unity and commitment to the sport.

The dignitaries lauded the efforts of the Arunachal Cycling Association and its partner organisations in promoting cycling and creating awareness about health, fitness, and environmental conservation.

The rally concluded at Yupia Stadium, where participants gathered to celebrate World Cycling Day and reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the cycling movement in the state.
