Union Bank Retirees Extend Support to Flood-Affected People in Assam

The Union Bank Pensioners & Retirees Association (NER) has contributed Rs 4.25 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support people affected by floods in Upper Assam. The cheque was handed over to Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma as part of the association’s social responsibility initiative. The contribution was supported by members from several state units, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Goa, Gujarat and Jharkhand. Association president Rabin Boro, general secretary Nepal Das, former president J K Neog and treasurer S Rahman were present during the handover. The association said its members came together to extend financial assistance to communities affected by the devastating floods, reflecting their commitment to social welfare and humanitarian support.
