Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has revised the schedule of several trains due to ongoing restoration work near New Harangajao Station in the Lumding-Badarpur hill section. The railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2 have experienced settlement, while train movement through the affected stretch is currently being handled on Line-3 with additional safety precautions.As part of the latest changes, Train No. 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express, scheduled to depart on August 14, has been cancelled. Train No. 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express, scheduled for August 15, has also been cancelled.
A number of other trains will operate as per revised timings. Train No. 15650 Narangi-Agartala Express will leave Narangi at 10:30 pm on August 14. On the same day, Train No. 15649 Agartala-Narangi Express will depart Agartala at 11:30 pm.Train No. 15609 Guwahati-Sairang Express will start from Guwahati at 11:30 pm on August 14, while Train No. 15610 Sairang-Guwahati Express will leave Sairang at 9:30 pm.
Similarly, Train No. 15611 Rangiya-Silchar Express will depart Rangiya at 11:30 pm on August 14. Train No. 15612 Silchar-Rangiya Express will leave Silchar at 5 am on August 15.NFR has also revised the schedule of Train No. 20507 Anand Vihar Terminal-Sairang Express. The train, scheduled to commence its journey on August 14, will now depart Sairang at 9:10 pm.
Meanwhile, Train No. 20502 Anand Vihar Terminal-Agartala Tejas Express, which started its journey on August 12, will be regulated suitably en route, according to NFR.The railway said the changes have been introduced as a precautionary measure to facilitate restoration work and ensure the safe movement of trains through the Lumding-Badarpur hill section. Passengers have been advised to check the updated train schedules before travelling.
