As part of the District Social Welfare Office’s Bhurbandha ICDS Project, NEDCHR, Niz-Dandua, Morigaon, recently held a free mobile eye check-up camp at Kahibari AWC. Through SECI’s CSR funds, the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SEC I) provided support to the NEDCHR in order to host the free mobile eye check-up camp. In the presence of DSWO Manika Barthakur, BDO-Rahul Deka, the Vice Chairman of NEDCHR, Dr. Pulen Chandra Laskar, and the Secretary of NEDCHR, Dr. J.P. Sharma, the Dy. Manager of SECI, New Delhi, Dr. Voibhavi Mane, lit an earthen lamp to officially launch the eye camp.
Alongside the camp’s organization, a meeting was held. During the meeting, Dy. Manager Dr. Voibhavi Mane explained in detail how the polluted environment has negatively impacted people’s eyes and how to shield them from it. The vote of gratitude was given by Dr. Pulen Chandra Laskar, the Vice Chairman of NEDCHR. The free eye check-up camp attracted more than 200 eye patients.
