NTPC Bongaigaon organised a series of outreach programmes under the three-month vigilance awareness campaign, themed “Probity for Prosperity,” reaching students, rural communities and project workers.
The initiatives recorded over 420 participations across various activities, promoting honesty, integrity, transparency and ethical conduct.
As part of the campaign, a series of awareness programmes were organised at Bodoland Academy High School, neighbouring villages and the project site. At Bodoland Academy High School, drawing and essay-writing competitions were organised in the Bodo language to encourage students to understand and express their views on integrity and corruption-free practices.
Extending the campaign to neighbouring villages, awareness programmes were conducted at Jalpaiguri and Nadanguri on October 14 and 15, respectively. At Jalpaiguri,
vigilence awareness volunteer Khwnasar Narzary administered the Integrity Pledge to villagers, while Amrit Basumatary conducted a similar programme at Nadanguri, encouraging villagers to uphold ethical values and contribute towards a corruption-free society.
The campaign was subsequently extended to neighbouring villages.
NTPC Bongaigaon also reached out to its project workforce through an awareness session held on October 15. The session focused on ethical workplace practices, transparency and prevention of corruption. The Integrity Pledge was administered to 128 workers in the presence of the DGM (Projects), reinforcing the importance of probity in everyday operations.
