Northeast India Sees Increased Health Insurance Penetration with ManipalCigna’s ‘Sarvah

ManipalCigna Health Insurance has strengthened its presence across Northeast India, aiming to make health insurance more accessible for families through its flagship offering, ManipalCigna Sarvah, recognised as Product of the Year 2025 – Health Insurance in a NielsenIQ consumer survey. The company said the product continues to support strong retail growth while offering coverage options tailored to different customer needs.

The Sarvah portfolio includes three variants — Sarvah Uttam, offering personalised comprehensive coverage with the Anant infinite coverage option; Sarvah Param, providing Day-1 coverage with zero waiting period and unlimited sum assured; and Sarvah Pratham, an affordable entry-level plan designed for first-time buyers and the underserved “missing middle”. To expand access, the insurer has set up eight branches across key Northeast cities and plans to onboard around 10,000 advisors over the next three years, including a focused initiative to enable 3,000 women advisors. The company has also partnered with football icon Bhaichung Bhutia to strengthen consumer awareness around health, wellness, and financial protection.

In Imphal, growing consumer awareness about rising healthcare costs is expected to drive higher adoption of affordable health insurance products, with the company’s advisor-led distribution network likely to improve accessibility and customer outreach across the city.
