Organized by the Nagaon Sports Association in collaboration with the Assam Cricket Association, the 2nd Invitational Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament concluded today at Nurul Amin Stadium.
The Nagaon District Women’s team emerged as the final winners of this four-day competition. On their path to the title, Nagaon defeated Marigaon by 9 wickets in their first league match, Goalpara by 22 runs in their second, and Hojai by 28 runs in the final match held today.
In today’s final match, which was reduced to 8 overs due to adverse weather Nagaon batted first and scored 56 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Hojai, in response, could only manage 28 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

Nagaon was awarded the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of ₹7,000.
Hojai received the runner-up trophy and a cash prize of ₹5,000. Nishi Nath (Hojai team), who was awarded ₹1,000.
Nagaon secured the top spot after winning all their matches against Marigaon, Goalpara, and Hojai.
