Magenta Mobility solidifies its partnership with Tata Motors

Magenta Mobility has expanded its collaboration with Tata Motors by deploying over 100 Tata Ace EVs, including 60 units of Ace EV and 40 units of the newly launched Ace EV 1000. This deployment is part of an MoU signed in October 2023, aiming to introduce 500 Tata Ace EVs to Magenta’s fleet.

Maxson Lewis, Founder & CEO of Magenta Mobility, expressed enthusiasm for the strengthened partnership. “The deployment of over 100 Tata Ace EVs marks a crucial step towards our ‘Ab Ki Baar Dus Hazaar’ initiative, targeting 10,000 electric vehicles by September 2025,” he stated. This partnership leverages Tata Motors’ expertise in small commercial vehicles and Magenta’s capabilities in logistics and technology.Vinay Pathak, VP & Business Head – SCVPU, Tata Motors, highlighted the achievement: “This deployment underscores our commitment to revolutionizing intra-city distribution with zero-emission solutions. The Tata Ace EV, developed through co-creation, ensures top performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.”

The Tata Ace EV features the EVOGEN powertrain, offering a robust driving experience with a 27kW motor, 130Nm peak torque, and advanced battery systems. Magenta Mobility, backed by investors like HPCL and Morgan Stanley, continues to lead the electric mobility revolution in India, with a current fleet of 2,000 electric vehicles across 17 cities.
