On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre, Narangi Higher Secondary School and Maharishi Vidya Mandir school clinched titles in the Under-17 Inter-School Volleyball tournament organized for both boys’ and girls’ categories at the centre’s playground.
In the girls’ final match, Narangi Higher Secondary School defeated Army Public School, Narangi by 3-0 sets. Bansmita Mandal, a player from Narangi Higher Secondary School, won the Best Player award.
On the other hand, in the boys’ final match, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silpukhuri won the winner’s trophy by defeating Army Public School, Basistha by 3-2 sets. Animesh Sarma, a player from Maharishi Vidya Mandir, was selected as the Best Player.
