ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has expanded its term insurance proposition with the launch of ICICI Pru iProtect Smart Her, a product designed to combine life cover with healthcare, wellness and financial flexibility for women. The product offers a 15% lifetime premium discount for women and a pregnancy break benefit, giving policyholders additional flexibility in managing premium commitments during pregnancy. Women-specific health management and wellness services worth up to ₹25,000 are also included.
The services cover teleconsultations across multiple specialties, annual health check-ups, health risk assessments, wellness content and discounts on pharmacy and diagnostic services. The company said the total benefits available under the product are worth up to ₹92,100. The offering also includes Child Education Care through an increasing income payout option for 10 years. The death benefit is paid as income to the nominee, increasing by 10% annually for 10 years. Vikas Gupta, Chief Product Officer, said women’s financial planning requirements continue to change across life stages.
The product is supported by digital purchase and self-service capabilities. ICICI Prudential Life said its claims settlement ratio was 99.3% in Q1 FY2027, with an average one-day turnaround for non-investigative individual death claims.
