Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has expanded its retail network in Assam with the launch of a new Authorized Main Dealership (AMD) — Jainco Honda — at MG Road, Jorhat. The outlet features Honda’s 4S setup — Sales, Service, Spare Parts, and Safety — aimed at delivering a complete and premium two-wheeler ownership experience.
Jainco Honda will retail HMSI’s full product portfolio, including Activa and Dio (110cc), Activa 125 and Dio 125 (125cc), and motorcycles such as Shine 100, Livo, Unicorn, SP160, Hornet 2.0, and NX200. The facility houses a trained sales and service team and offers safety riding promotion programs with advanced riding simulators imported from Japan.
HMSI’s move signals a strong push into key urban hubs of Assam, where rising middle-class incomes and a preference for fuel-efficient scooters and motorcycles are driving growth. Guwahati, being a trade and transport hub for the Northeast, has witnessed increasing competition among two-wheeler brands, and Honda’s expanded presence is expected to strengthen its market share in the region. HMSI said the Jorhat dealership will cater to evolving mobility needs while reinforcing its commitment to safety and customer satisfaction in Northeast India.
