BMW 3 Series Turns 50

To celebrate 50 years of the iconic BMW 3 Series, the brand has unveiled exclusive ’50 Jahre’ editions of the sedan worldwide. In India, BMW has introduced the 330Li M Sport ’50 Jahre’ Edition and the M340i ’50 Jahre’ Edition, priced at ₹64 lakh and ₹76.9 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Both models are limited to just 50 units, adding to their exclusivity.

The BMW 3 Series, first launched in 1975 as a successor to the BMW 02 Series, has evolved over seven generations and is now a benchmark in the compact executive sedan segment.

The limited editions feature laser-engraved B-pillar badges denoting their special status. The 330Li gets M High-Gloss Shadowline trim, carbon fiber interior accents, and a head-up display with 3D navigation. The M340i sports black M-badged fenders, performance door pins, and exclusive accessories like a custom key fob, carbon fiber details, and 19-inch Jet Black alloys with red brake calipers.

Powering the 330Li is a 2.0L petrol engine (258 hp, 400 Nm), while the M340i uses a 3.0L straight-six (374 hp, 500 Nm), sprinting from 0–100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
