Phagun Jyoti, a talented young tennis player from Assam, has secured her first national ranking title by winning the Super Series Tennis Tournament.
In the final match of the All India Tournament held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Justina Phagun Jyoti showcased an outstanding performance to defeat her opponent in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, to clinch the title.
This marks Phagun’s first national Super Series title. Ankush Talukdar, the secretary of the All Assam Tennis Association, noted that this continuous success by Phagun will significantly boost the prestige of tennis in Assam and inspire new players in the region. Phagun is a trainee at the Chachal Tennis Training Center in Guwahati and a student at Holy Child School. Her consistent performance at the national level is seen as a positive sign for the future of tennis in the state of Assam.
