Actor Bhumi Pednekar has joined relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected Assam by visiting Sivasagar to support families impacted by the recent floods. The Bollywood star became one of the latest public figures to take part in on-ground relief activities aimed at helping affected communities recover from the disaster.
On August 6, Pednekar visited several flood-hit areas in Sivasagar, where she met local residents, interacted with relief volunteers and participated in the distribution of essential supplies. The relief initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation.
The actor also shared highlights from her visit on social media, saying that rebuilding lives begins when timely assistance reaches people in need. Before travelling to Assam, she had appealed on July 25 for people across the country to support relief operations by contributing food, mattresses, sanitation products and other essential items.
Bhumi Pednekar’s visit follows similar relief efforts by actor Randeep Hooda, who recently worked with Global Sikhs in Sivasagar. During his visit, Hooda helped distribute food, organised community kitchens and interacted with families staying in temporary relief camps.
Apart from Pednekar and Hooda, several Bollywood personalities have also come forward to support the people affected by the Assam floods. Celebrities including Kartik Aaryan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tahira Kashyap, Alia Bhatt, Anupam Kher and Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation have contributed through donations, awareness drives and public appeals to assist relief and rehabilitation efforts.
