In an upcoming update currently being tested among a select group of Android beta testers on version 2.26.40.7, WhatsApp is developing a message-scheduling tool that eliminates the need to remember to send texts and media at specific times. According to reports from WABetaInfo, users will be able to queue messages for personal and group chats by typing their text, holding down the send button, and picking a scheduled window that spans from 10 minutes up to two weeks into the future. The capability also supports links, photos, and videos, allowing creators to edit images or add captions beforehand, although limitations currently restrict each schedule to a single image or video file. WhatsApp will then automatically transmit the scheduled message at the designated hour without requiring the sender to open the application or stay online, and for group conversations, messages will exclusively target those who belonged to the group at the time of creation. Users will also retain full control over their queue via a dedicated chat info section where pending texts can be deleted discreetly before dispatch, though official announcements regarding a stable release or an iPhone rollout are still awaited.
