ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched the BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index Fund, introducing a rules-based investment strategy that combines value and momentum factors to offer customers access to long-term equity opportunities through select unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).
The fund will provide exposure to a diversified basket of 50 companies selected from the broad BSE 500 universe and follow the ICICI Pru BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Customized Index. The strategy identifies companies based on attractive valuations and positive price momentum, while quarterly portfolio reviews will allow it to respond systematically to changing market trends and valuations. If a stock cannot be selected due to regulatory guidelines, subsequent eligible stocks will be included to maintain the 50-stock cohort.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Manish Kumar, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said, “The BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index Fund has been designed to provide customers with access to a disciplined and transparent investment strategy that brings together two important investment factors, value and momentum.”
He added, “Combining these factors enables the strategy to identify companies that demonstrate strength on both parameters, helping investors participate in emerging opportunities while maintaining a focus on valuations.”
The fund will be available through ICICI Pru Smart Kid Assure, ICICI Pru Signature Assure, ICICI Pru Signature Online and ICICI Pru Smart Insurance Plan Plus.
The company reported a 99.3% claim settlement ratio in Q1 FY2027, with a one-day average turnaround time for non-investigated individual claims. As of June 30, 2026, its assets under management stood at Rs. 3.34 lakh crore, with zero NPAs since inception and total in-force sum assured of Rs. 48.06 lakh crore.
