Governor Acharya has appreciated the Brahma Kumaris’ initiative to administer a drug-free pledge to 10 crore people across the country, describing it as a significant contribution to the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. He highlighted the organisation’s efforts in spreading spiritual awareness, moral values, family harmony and social transformation through Rajyoga Meditation.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasised India’s rich cultural heritage and the teachings of great spiritual leaders and social reformers. He said that character, discipline and strong moral values are essential for creating a prosperous and developed nation. He cautioned that substance abuse not only harms individuals but also affects families and society as a whole, and urged citizens to work together to protect the younger generation from the growing threat of drug addiction.
The Governor also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, stating that a healthy, disciplined and value-driven youth population will be the greatest strength of the nation. He highlighted the recently launched ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ campaign, saying that it has transformed the fight against drug abuse into a nationwide people’s movement by encouraging active participation, especially among the youth.
He called upon all sections of society to contribute towards building a drug-free India and strengthening the nation through positive values, responsibility and collective commitment.
