Under the initiative of the All India Chip Ball Federation, the 1st National drip Ball Federation Cup Championship was organized at the KV Sports Park in Mariani. In this tournament, the Assam boys’ team managed to secure the third position.
A total of eight states participated in this championship, with Maharashtra securing the first position and Kerala securing the second position. Drip ball is gaining special popularity across the country.
In the league phase of the championship, the Assam team put up an excellent performance to seal a spot in the semi-finals. In the semi-final match held yesterday, they were defeated by Maharashtra and had to settle for the third place.
By securing the third position in this Federation Cup—which marked the first-ever national championship for the newly introduced sport of drip ball in Assam—the Assam team has showcased its strong potential.
