In the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans, 6 batters from both teams combined to create a record. Including yesterday’s match, a total of 16,776 T20 matches have been played so far. Out of these matches, this is only the first time that six batters managed to play half-century innings, creating history in T20 cricket.
In yesterday’s match, Finn Allen (93), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (unbeaten 82), and Cameron Green (unbeaten 52) scored half-centuries for Kolkata. On the other hand, playing half-century innings for Gujarat were Sai Sudharsan (unbeaten 53), Shubman Gill (85), and Jos Buttler (57).
With this match, Sudharsan set a personal record. He became the first cricketer in the world to touch the milestone of 3,000 runs in fewer than 80 T20 innings.
