Ziro Music Festival inspiration Dima Hasao to travel

Inspired by the breathtaking Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, the Ziro Music Festival has recently drawn a group of tourists from the Dima Hasao area of Assam. Their trip was intended to teach them important lessons about event planning, promoting sustainable tourism, and cultivating cross-cultural exchanges from the festival. The eclectic delegation, which included government officials, members of the tourism management committee, and passionate residents, was led by NC Hill Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa. Their goal was to determine how to increase tourism in their own area by emulating the Ziro Music Festival’s success.

The group passed via the bustling towns of Nagaon, Tezpur, Itanagar, and Naharlagun on their picturesque journey to Ziro. They arrived and immediately became engrossed in the lively atmosphere of the festival, taking in live performances by renowned musicians from all around the world. Group participant Karan Daulagupu highlighted Dima Hasao’s unrealized tourism potential while expressing gratitude for the educational opportunity. He emphasized how ideal the district is for developing rural tourism because of its stunning scenery and rich cultural legacy.

The natural treasures of Dima Hasao, such as Hempeupet Peak, Panimur Falls, and Sielkal Peak, captivated tour guide Biswajyoti Hojai. He also emphasized how crucial it is to involve local people in tourist initiatives in order to guarantee long-term success and sustainable growth. The trekkers carried with them a fresh sense of purpose along with happy memories as they made their way back to Dima Hasao. Inspired by what they had experienced at Ziro, they are now ready to apply their newfound expertise to promote tourism in their neighborhood. They want to establish a sustainable tourism strategy that will benefit tourists as well as the local population by utilizing Dima Hasao’s distinctive cultural heritage and stunning natural surroundings.
