Truecaller has officially launched its Verified Badge feature for Android Premium users in India, allowing them to authenticate their identities through a UPI-based verification process. This innovative service enhances trust and authenticity in digital communications, enabling users to confirm their correct names seamlessly.
Over the years, the Verified Badge has become one of the most anticipated features among Truecaller users, with many requesting a more transparent method to obtain it. In response, Truecaller revamped the verification process to provide a reliable solution backed by UPI, a system recognized for its security by major financial institutions.
“By integrating UPI-based verification, we’re leveraging a widely accepted and secure method to ensure that identities on our platform are authentic and credible,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Chief Product Officer and MD of Truecaller India. He emphasized that this feature empowers users to take control of their digital presence. Currently, the Verified Badge is exclusively available to Android Premium users, with plans for an iPhone rollout soon. Truecaller’s commitment to enhancing the security of digital interactions marks a significant step towards establishing itself as a trusted identifier of user profiles globally.
