Toyota Kirloskar accelerates green momentum with Environment Month 2025 campaign

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) kicked off its Environment Month 2025 campaign themed “Sustainable Resource Management Drive,” echoing the global Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050. Focused on ‘Zero-Base Thinking’ and the 4Rs—Refuse, Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce—the initiative aims to integrate sustainability across operations, suppliers, and dealerships.

The campaign showcases Toyota’s long-term environmental achievements, including 100% renewable grid electricity use, 96% waste recyclability, and 89.3% of water requirements met through recycling and rainwater harvesting. TKM’s 25-acre ‘Ecozone’ has engaged over 42,000 students and stakeholders, promoting hands-on ecological learning.

Environment Month 2025 activities include the “TKM Sustainable Hub 2025,” hosting Green Expos, tech shows, and student-led upcycling initiatives. Additional goals include zero plastic packaging by 2030, greater afforestation, and circular economy promotion with upcycled lifestyle products. Consumers in the region—especially among younger buyers—are showing increased preference for brands with sustainability credentials. Local dealers are expected to align with the national initiative by promoting environmental engagement and community outreach in line with Toyota’s green goals.
