Tata Motors Limited reported a total sales volume of 76,766 units for May 2024, marking a 2% year-over-year increase from the 74,973 units sold in May 2023.
In the domestic market, Tata Motors achieved sales of 75,173 units, a slight rise from the 73,448 units sold in the same period last year. This uptick is reflective of the company’s steady performance across various segments.
Commercial Vehicles:
HCV Trucks: Sales dipped by 3% to 7,924 units from 8,160 units in May 2023.
ILMCV Trucks: Notably, sales surged by 30%, reaching 4,478 units.
Passenger Carriers: Sales increased by 22% to 4,737 units.
SCV Cargo and Pickup: Experienced a 6% decline, totaling 11,337 units.
CV Domestic: Rose by 3% to 28,476 units.
CV International Business (IB): Dropped by 14% to 1,215 units.
Overall, total commercial vehicle sales were 29,691 units, a 2% rise from the previous year’s 28,989 units.
Passenger Vehicles:
Domestic Sales (including EVs): Increased by 2% to 46,697 units.
International Sales: Jumped by 257% to 378 units.
Total PV Sales: Grew by 2%, amounting to 47,075 units.
EV Sales: Declined by 4%, with 5,558 units sold.
