Last night, a truck carrying stolen animals was apprehended in Nagaon’s Bebejia Jalmoy hamlet. Some residents of Bebejia Jalmoy village reportedly halted the truck on the national highway with the license plate AS 01 SC 5267 because they thought it was transporting stolen animals. More than 20 animals were discovered inside the car after it was inspected. The residents alerted the Bebejia police outpost right away, and the truck driver was able to flee as soon as the outpost’s officers arrived on the scene. According to authorities here, the police then confiscated the truck and moved the stolen livestock to a cowshed in Nagaon.
