Sonowal and Sarma rally relief efforts amid rising waters

Amidst rising floodwaters in Assam, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has collaborated with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to coordinate swift relief efforts for affected regions including Dibrugarh and Tinsukia. Sonowal, expressing concern, tweeted, “Spoke to Hon’ble Assam CM Shri @himantabiswa over phone regarding the flood situation in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and other parts of the state. Requested him to provide all necessary assistance to the flood victims.”

He further noted, “The Hon’ble CM assured immediate relief to the affected people.” In response, CM Sarma affirmed ongoing relief operations, stating, “We are continuously monitoring the situation in Dibrugarh. Our administration is taking all necessary measures and stands firmly with people of Dibrugarh and other affected areas in this hour of crisis.”

With floodwaters escalating, authorities are actively mobilizing resources to aid impacted communities. Residents in flood-hit areas are urged to remain vigilant and adhere to directives issued by local authorities for their safety.
