Hurricane Beryl hits Jamaica, reports 9 deaths

Jamaica was battered by Hurricane Beryl. There have already been reports of nine deaths. However, rescuers fear that this number will increase even more. Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness said that 500 people have taken shelter in relief camps. However, he said, “There is still no idea how bad the condition of the affected areas could be. As far as humanly possible, I will try to save everyone. The rest is in God’s hands.” It should be noted that the airport in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, is closed due to the storm.
