Five newly elected MLAs from the just finished Assembly by-elections were sworn in by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Nihar Ranjan Das, Diptimoyee Choudhury, Diganta Ghatowal, Nirmal Brahma, and Diplu Ranjan Sarmah were inducted as members of the legislative assembly during the ceremony, which took place in the Assam Assembly. In addition to wishing the MLAs well, CM Sarma conveyed his faith in their ability to advance the state. “Their dedication will undoubtedly strengthen governance and the vision for a progressive Assam,” he said.
In his remarks to the media, Assam Minister UG Brahma emphasized the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) increasing influence in the state. “The NDA is now stronger because five freshly elected MLAs joined the Assembly today. The people views Prime Minister Modi’s leadership as India’s future. Under this leadership, Assam is the state with the quickest rate of growth in areas like development and education,” he said. Public trust in the coalition’s leadership is reflected in the recent by-election results, which have strengthened the NDA’s position in Assam. It is anticipated that the new MLAs would be crucial in quickening the state’s development in a number of areas.
