Frequent power cuts in some areas of Guwahati have added to the already intense heat, causing frustration among locals. The lack of internet connectivity and unstable power supply have affected productivity, leading to frustration. Many residents, especially those working from home, are struggling with the heat and the lack of electricity. The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) is working on resolving the issues with transformer fuses to restore normal power supply. The heatwave has made it difficult for residents to manage their households, as fans and coolers do not work, and their children struggle with the heat. Schools have been ordered closed from September 24 to 27 after students fall ill from heat.
