Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu announces development-oriented projects and policies

At Janata Bhawan on Wednesday, Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu unveiled a number of programs and initiatives focused on development. Key issues in the education sector, such as the lack of teachers, access to high-quality education, and the creation of digital learning materials, are the focus of the efforts. The hiring of 9,000 new instructors with an emphasis on local language competency was one of the major announcements. Dr. Pegu emphasized that all posts will be filled regularly rather than through contractual employment, and that these appointments will address the reported teacher shortages in various schools.

The Shiksha Setu app will help detect the specific subject shortages and streamline the recruitment process by allowing schools to provide accurate data. In order for the Education Department to promptly fill in the gaps, schools must upload their data, which will be validated by the principals. Along with hiring more teachers, Dr. Pegu proposed a significant benefit for pupils from low-income families. Students from families below the poverty line enrolled in government and provincial schools in Classes XI and XII will have their enrollment fees waived.
