Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, is currently traveling through Golaghat town on the sixth day of his Jana Ashirwad Yatra, which started at Sarupathar. The yatra is expected to finish the day’s journey at Dergaon and continue on to Khumtai. People lined the roadsides to catch a sight of the procession, while large groups gathered along the route to welcome the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was greeted along the way by people from all walks of life, according to the organizers. Among the throng were fans who were visually handicapped and showed their love and support for him. While engaging with locals along the way, the yatra seeks to establish connections with the public in various constituencies and ask for their blessings.
