The Bijnor Kaushal Mahotsav, a flagship initiative aimed at enhancing employment prospects, concluded today with a remarkable achievement of 4,400 job offers for local youth. Under the leadership of Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the event showcased the government’s dedication to skill development.
Over a month, more than 13,500 candidates registered for the program on the Skill India Digital Hub, with 3,500 selected after rigorous training and career counseling. The festival attracted around 6,000 participants, with major employers, including Flipkart, Burger King, and Zepto, offering immediate job opportunities across sectors such as IT, logistics, and tourism.
Guwahati stands to benefit from Bijnor’s model of skill development. As more youths gain employability through programs like this, the influx of skilled workers could stimulate demand for various services and products in Guwahati, creating a ripple effect of economic growth. Chaudhary emphasized, “Our commitment is to equip the youth with essential skills to thrive in a competitive economy, driving local and national growth.”
