The Assam Government has introduced the ‘Frames of the Brahmaputra’ photography contest, calling on residents to capture the beauty and diversity of Assam’s waterways. Participants stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to ₹15,000. To join, photographers must submit their entries via email to assamaiwcl@gmail.com, along with their full name, contact information, and phone number. Additionally, participants are encouraged to support the contest on social media by following the Assam Inland Waterways Company Limited on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Contestants should post their photos on social media with the hashtag #FramesOfBrahmaputra, tagging the company, and including their name, college, and district in the caption. Each participant can submit up to four photos in JPEG format, sized between 10 MB and 20 MB, with a resolution of 300 dpi and dimensions of 6000×4000 pixels. The contest is open exclusively to residents of Assam.

Prizes include ₹7,000 for first place, ₹5,000 for second, and ₹3,000 for third. Additionally, five runners-up will receive certificates and features on social media. The contest themes—Nature & Wildlife, Culture, Daily Life, and Transport—invite photographers to showcase the charm of Assam’s lifeline, the Brahmaputra River.
