Apollo Cancer Conclave 2024 highlights global expertise and treatments

The 7th edition of the Apollo Cancer Conclave, held from November 8th to 10th at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, marked a transformative moment in the field of oncology. Over 2,000 oncologists from across India and 450 international speakers gathered to discuss the latest advancements in cancer care. The conclave focused on integrating contemporary treatment practices with precision oncology, offering a platform for over 100 sessions and interactive workshops on organ-specific oncology and innovative cancer treatments.

As India’s cancer burden is projected to double by 2050, the conclave stressed the importance of prevention and the evolving role of technology in cancer management. Key sessions highlighted breakthroughs in breast, gastrointestinal, gynaecologic, and haematolymphoid oncology, as well as precision medicine and AI applications in diagnosis and treatment.

In Guwahati, local healthcare professionals are increasingly adopting new technologies and treatment methodologies, inspired by such global forums. The integration of precision oncology, along with the introduction of cutting-edge therapies like Proton Therapy, is poised to significantly enhance cancer care in the region, improving outcomes and providing access to world-class treatment options for patients in Assam.
